RegenPRP™ Technology
RegenPRP™ is an autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) system designed to enhance tissue repair and regeneration by utilizing the patient’s own blood components. Here’s how it works:
1. Blood Collection
A small volume of the patient’s blood is drawn using a sterile, closed system to minimize contamination and ensure safety.
2. Centrifugation & Separation
The blood is processed using a specialized centrifuge to separate its components. This step isolates the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from red blood cells and most white blood cells. The centrifugation parameters are optimized to yield a high concentration of platelets and growth factors.
3. Activation & Application
Once prepared, RegenPRP™ can be:
- Injected directly into the target tissue (e.g., joints, tendons, or skin) to stimulate healing.
- Combined with biomaterials for enhanced regenerative effects.
- Applied topically in dermatological and aesthetic procedures.
The separation process is highly efficient. It produces a leucocyte poor PRP with a standardised composition: RegenPRP™. RegenLab separator gel technology ensures a consistent recovery of more than 80% of platelets and the optimal removal of unwanted blood cells, in a user-independent manner that is reproducible from patient to patient.
Yes, the technology is designed to be future-oriented and adaptable to emerging biomedical discoveries.
What is PRP Therapy According to Regen Lab?
PRP therapy utilises a patient’s own blood to extract a high concentration of platelets, which are then reinjected to stimulate tissue regeneration and accelerate healing. Regen Lab offers optimised solutions based on its RegenPRP™ tube, enabling a simple, rapid, and standardised PRP preparation in a closed system, ensuring both safety and efficacy.
Autologous PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) refers to a concentrated preparation of platelets derived from a patient’s own blood. It is rich in growth factors and bioactive proteins that promote tissue repair, regeneration, and healing. The term « autologous » means that the PRP comes from the patient’s own body, reducing the risk of immune reactions or disease transmission.
Advantages of Autologous PRP
- Personalized treatment – Since it’s derived from the patient’s own blood, there’s no risk of rejection.
- Minimally invasive – Simple blood draw and injection-based therapy.
- Enhanced healing – Accelerates tissue repair and reduces inflammation.
Autologous Thrombin Serum (ATS) is a patient-derived biological product used primarily for tissue regeneration, wound healing, and hemostasis. It is obtained by processing the patient’s own blood to extract thrombin, an enzyme crucial in the clotting cascade, which plays a key role in activating platelets and converting fibrinogen into fibrin, leading to the formation of a fibrin clot.
Fully reversible anticoagulation with a pharmaceutical grade solution of sodium citrate, which binds plasma calcium ions to prevent coagulation. When PRP is injected, natural coagulation occurs spontaneously thank to the calcium ions present in the interstitial fluid.
Clinical Applications
Yes, RegenLab® guarantees high platelet viability and functionality, ensuring optimal therapeutic efficacy.
The blood collection process is designed to be gentle, reducing the risk of haemolysis thanks to the specific tubing of the blood collection set.
Very low contamination with undesired red and white blood cells in RegenPRP™. In particular specific depletion of pro-inflammatory neutrophil granulocytes resulting in a Leucocyte Poor-PRP (LP-PRP).

Thanks to the quality of the recovered platelets, RegenPRP™ is therapeutically effective with a native platelet concentration factor of around 1.5 times the value in whole blood. If considered necessary, the platelet concentration factor can be increased up to 5 times by discarding acellular plasma before the resuspension step.
The system enables the recovery of at least 80% of platelets, including the densest ones, which contain high concentrations of growth factors.
Full volume of plasma is recovered; platelets remain in their native environment and there is no loss of plasmatic molecules such as coagulation factors, growth factors, nutrients, electrolytes, hormones…
RegenPRP™ + ATS (Autologous Thrombin Serum) is a regenerative therapy that enhances wound healing by leveraging the body’s own biological components. It is particularly effective in treating various types of acute and chronic wounds, including:
-
Chronic Wounds
- Diabetic Foot Ulcers – Helps promote tissue regeneration and prevent infections.
- Pressure Ulcers (Bedsores) – Aids in wound closure and reduces inflammation.
- Venous Leg Ulcers – Enhances microcirculation and accelerates healing.
-
Acute Wounds
- Surgical Wounds – Improves post-operative recovery by stimulating tissue repair.
- Traumatic Wounds (Lacerations, Abrasions, and Skin Tears) – Enhances clotting and tissue regeneration.
-
Burns
- Partial-Thickness Burns – Promotes skin regeneration and reduces scarring.
-
Radiation-Induced Wounds
- Helps in healing skin damage caused by radiation therapy.
-
Complex and Non-Healing Wounds
- Wounds in Immunocompromised Patients – Supports wound healing in patients with poor regenerative capacity.
RegenPRP™ + ATS works by providing a rich source of platelets and growth factors while enhancing fibrin clot formation, creating an optimal environment for tissue regeneration. Would you like more detailed clinical references or case studies on specific wound types?
Safety and Usage
RegenKits are CE certified and fulfil all current MDR, EMA, FDA, MDSAP requirements and guidelines, as well as ISO standards and good practices (GxP).
A pharmaceutical-grade sodium citrate solution is used to prevent coagulation by binding plasma calcium ions. Once the PRP is injected, natural coagulation occurs spontaneously due to the calcium ions present in the interstitial fluid.
RegenLab® devices should be stored according to specific guidelines to ensure their sterility, functionality, and effectiveness. Here are the key storage recommendations:
General Storage Conditions
- Temperature: Store between 5°C and 30°C (41°F – 86°F).
